One of the lodge’s most fun tools is Julius’s 1957 Piper Supercub, a fabric bush plane that is still the mainstay of much small aviation in Alaska and northern Canada. Throughout the season Julius – and sometimes one of the guides – flies around the local mountains looking for wildlife trails and bear habitat. Flying also provides for some great views of the ranch and the valley it is situated in.
