Ben Fogle films his first episode of New Lives in the Wild at Wild Bear Lodge in which he tells the story of how Julius and Kristin, true urbanites,  came to BC and set up a bear-viewing business in the middle of nowhere.

We set out with Mel Clapham, a bear biologist who lives on BC’s coast, to monitor local bear behaviour. The project was to evolve into a scientific breakthrough that uses facial recognition to count and track grizzly bears.
