11 Sep Covid-19 and Bookings for 2021
Given that Canada’s international borders are shut to all but essential workers, Wild Bear Lodge is closed for the 2020 season.
We are currently taking bookings for 2021, but will not ask for deposits until Canada and BC begins to admit international tourists. If you would like to book or have any questions about 2021 and beyond please click here.
We will be enacting the following measures for 2021. These measures may change without notice if advice from the Government of Canada changes.
Guests will be asked a series of questions upon arrival at the lodge to determine if they have an increased risk of exposure.
On the Property
We have six separate cabins with plenty of space in between each. Our housekeeping staff clean and sanitize each cabin thoroughly between stays.
While visiting, much of your time will be spent in either your own personal cabin, or out in the wilderness. Time spent in shared spaces will be limited.
Hand soap and sanitizer will be available for guests and staff in their cabins, around the lodge, and on outings.
Both guests and staff will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the main lodge. High-touch areas around the main lodge with be sanitized continuously throughout the day.
Social distancing will be required around members outside of your group. Masks or face coverings will be worn where social distancing is not possible.
As a small operation, we are fortunate to have small group sizes of up to four guests on our guided activities.
While travelling by vehicle, guests and staff will be required to wear masks or face coverings. Vehicles will be sanitized before and after each use.
All shared gear and equipment will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each use.
Our chefs follow best practices while preparing your food. Our dining area will be laid out with social distancing in mind.
