18 Dec BC bans all grizzly bear hunting
Even after two years and hundreds of hours of lobbying, organising and schmoozing politicians, today’s announcement was better than anything we could have dared hope for. The BC government banned all hunting of grizzly bears in the province, whether for trophies or for meat.
We led the charge on this effort and many other organisations helped, but we could not have done that without generous contributions from our guests. For each guest who comes to the ranch we put a $100 contribution into our conservation fund, and many have given even more.
So thank you!
Your efforts have helped save 300 grizzly bears a year in BC from a hunter’s bullet, and, hopefully, end grizzly bear hunting in the province forever.
